Jonathan Fisher, a native of Hickory, North Carolina, earned a BFA with a concentration in printmaking at UNC Asheville in 2001 and an MFA from Ohio State University in 2003. He taught as adjunct instructor at OSU and schools in the Atlanta area for several years before becoming an instructor and academic program coordinator at The Art Institutes of Atlanta for eight years. He joined Kennesaw State University's School of Art and Design in 2016 as an assistant professor of art and coordinator of studio foundations.
“My recent body of work explores the idea of systems and growth patterns. From maps, biological cells, planets and constellations of the solar system, I am fascinated by the way our neighborhoods, world and universe are structured,” says Fisher. (Jonathan Fisher Website)
