Jackson Martin moved from Charleston, SC where he taught Sculpture at the College of Charleston and worked at the Halsey Institute of Contemporary Art. He received his MFA from the Rinehart School of Sculpture at the Maryland Institute College of Art and his BFA from Middle Tennessee State University. Martin has exhibited his sculptures and installations extensively throughout the United States and has participated in international exhibitions and residencies in South Korea and Denmark.
