Art Front

Art Front connects artists and arts enthusiasts with the art community on campus and in the greater Asheville area

Art Front serves as UNC Asheville’s visual arts student organization, providing professional development opportunities for its members through bi-annual exhibitions, guest lecturers, and artist events. Art Front strives to connect artists and arts enthusiasts outside the classroom, providing a platform for students to connect with the art community on campus as well as the greater Asheville area. Every Spring Semester, Art Front organizes the Annual Juried Exhibition in S. Tucker Cooke Gallery in conjunction with the Department of Art and Art History’s scholarships and awards presentations. Entry in the  juried exhibition is open to any registered student on campus. The organization also hosts an Annual Members’ Exhibition in Highsmith Art and Intercultural Gallery as well as encouraging members to participate in social and collaborative arts-related events on campus and in the community.

Art Front meetings are held every other Thursday at 12:30 in Owen Hall’s S Tucker Cooke Gallery. For more information, visit the Art Front Facebook or email.
